Michael Phelps’ bong-hit photo has caused him to be dropped by Kellogg, maker of Pop-Tarts, and maybe Subway, maker of sandwiches (well, maybe they’re reassessing the situation). Anyone seeing a pattern here? Who are Phelps’ other sponsors — Doritos? Hostess? Visine? Ziploc? And doesn’t this put stoners in a bind? How do you support your hero with a boycott if the company you’re boycotting is Munchie Central? And BTW, has anyone noticed that there’s more of an outcry over this than over his bust for drunk driving in 2004?
